The 5th Annual TRAA PADDLE & FISH

This is becoming a marquee event on the Thames River Anglers Association social calendar.

For those of you who don’t know, the name says it all. We pick a different section of the Thames River to paddle watercraft (mostly canoes and kayaks) while fishing the whole way. Then we have a barbeque and tell lies about how many fish we caught.

This year we’ll be floating and casting our way from the mouth of Oxbow Creek (Old River Road) to Komoka Bridge (Komoka Road at Gideon Drive).

Once we arrive at the take out point we’ll load up and head over to the Delaware riverside park for the barbeque. This is the same spot we had last year’s Paddle & Fish barbeque.

Keep your eye on this web site and watch your emails for details as they develop.

Thames River Cleanup

Hello Thames River Rally Volunteer!

Our next clean-up will be on Saturday July 15th, 9:30 am to noon at Thames Park.

We’ll meet at the “Staging Area” which is the Thames Park parking lot off Ridout Street (green circle on the map). We’re going to clean up the areas marked in pink on the map.

We’ll provide garbage bags and gloves (we also have a few garbage grabbers). Apart from weather appropriate clothing we suggest you bring a bottle of drinking water.

Families are welcome, however parents must be responsible for their children at all times.

See you at the river!
